Hello,
Just a quick suggestion. Perhaps the IPBoard logo could be replaced with something more fitting?
I made a quick mock-up that uses a similar font and layout to that of the current logo so that it fits nicely with the theme. The gradient isn't perfect and I couldn't think of a decent slogan but it's a start and I would be happy to make any alterations if you think this is a good idea.

I like what you did there, NanoWar. The smooth font is much nicer and the calculator logo is a good idea :)
I did a bit of searching and found the old banner on archive.org. Perhaps a combination of the old font and NanoWar's logo idea would be good? I remade the calculator logos because NanoWar's were missing some detail on the top and left buttons.
I'm starting to get used to GIMP now although I wish wine would stop acting up so that I can get back to Photoshop :)
