So I'm currently trying to figure out how to upload strings to different variables. However, no matter what I mess with in the header variable. It always goes to Str1.

What was this bluetooth adapter used for? What app did it use? Was it specific to 84pce or 83pce, or did it work on both?

Thank you! Thanks also to Cemetechians who have been performing testing. Thanks to them, I've identified and solved a few bugs:

Both individual files and projects can now be tested in the in-IDE jsTIfied calculator emulator once again.
TI-84 Plus CE C programs can be compiled correctly, and z80/ez80 assembly programs can be assembled correctly.

As I was making this post, I discovered another couple of bugs:

If you upload pre-Evo programs, then change them to Evo programs, the project doesn't get changes to an Evo project. I'll need to add some UI and frontend code to show the project type and allow it to be changed.
Saving projects containing Evo files triggers a frontend error, and loading projects containing Evo files displays incorrectly tokenized/detokenized variable names

5.8.4 is also safe.

Note:
If you've installed an [APPS] asm shell like CEaShell, AsmHook2 or Cesium etc, and accidentally updated to 5.8.5, you are able to downgrade the os. If you have 5.8.5 with no assembly shell already installed, you're stuck until arTIfiCE v3 is made.

Not to my knowledge. It is missing a lot of functionality in both the Basic and Python apps. No Lbl or Goto in Basic, no Input in Python. I like to run my Python script in the command line environment to make it more portable from calculator to calculator. I am reading the "manual" to see if there is a GUI implementation for entering data. Hopefully they will address the emails I have sent in future upgrades.

My wifi/internet is completely fine. But when I press the send to calc button once on source coder , nothing shows up (no pop up / no successful send) and when I spam press the send button I get this:

Over 20 years ago, SourceCoder 1.0 started as a simple way to extract the source code from TI-83/TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus calculators into human-readable text. After joining forces with Brazucs and his optiBASIC project, in 2006,SourceCoder 2.0 brought support for strings, lists, matrices, groups, and more, as well as a more flexible tokenizer. It took another ten years before SourceCoder 3 was maybe finally nearly version 3.0, complete with a new interface, more supported calculator models, and the jsTIfied calculator emulator built in to speed up testing and debugging. Recently, I've been adding support for the newly released TI-84 Evo graphing calculator, and I realized SourceCoder never actually reached 3.0. We've now vaulted past that milestone with early support for the TI-84 Evo in SourceCoder 3.1 Beta.

Put simply, you can now import, edit, and export TI-84 Evo variables like programs, matrices, lists, numbers, and images, directly in your browser. Upload your favorite .8xp2, .8xl2, .8xm2, .8xn2, or .8ca2 files (hopefully those extensions don't get any longer...), and you can see the source code of your TI-BASIC programs, view the values in your matrices, lists, and numbers, or view and export the contents of your images. You can also create new programs, matrices, lists, or numbers, and edit them directly in your browser. When you're satisfied, export the resulting program or variable back to a file you can send to your physical TI-84 Evo or to the official TI-84 Evo emulator. Better yet, share your TI-84 Evo project in our file archives for the world to download and enjoy.

What works? You can import, create, edit, and export five types: programs, images (backgrounds), matrices, lists, and numbers. You can use almost all of the tokens that you can type on the calculator. As part of this effort, SourceCoder's backend has been upgraded to support Unicode, so you can now confidently enter or copy-and-paste the Unicode equivalents of various supported characters to include in your programs, as well as use versions of programs created with other tools that use Unicode representations.

What's coming soon? The community has discovered myriad tokens, including some that are repeated two, three, or more times with different encoded values. Many of these cannot be typed as their alternative form, but because the community is working to document them, SourceCoder will support them. In creating SourceCoder's TI-84 Evo support, I and other community members learned more about the TI-84 Evo group file format, which not only differs widely from the previous group format, but also is quite unlike the other TI-84 Evo file formats. TI-84 Evo group support will therefore be coming soon.

What's not coming soon? We have no plans to make the jsTIfied emulator support the TI-84 Evo in the foreseeable future. In addition, because there are many great Python editors and IDEs out there, we don't plan to add Python support soon.

Yeah, genesis_team was an interesting user. I wonder if anyone is even buying new CEs anymore. If you are considering it, make sure to buy old stock (so you hopefully get OS 5.8.3 or lower).

There seems to be some condition that can cause Line( specifically to clear the screen before it draws. I can only get it to happen in CSRIIEX on the race screen, and it seems to be some combination of conditions causing it, not just one. And yes, I didn't accidentally leave a ClrDraw in before the Line(. I've been trying to reproduce it in a separate program, but so far I have been unsuccessful.

It doesn’t seem to just be “graph screen needs to be updated” because you can call multiple Text( commands right before the Line( and it still clears the screen upon Line( being called.

According to their Python "manual", Input and Random are currently disabled. I found this out testing my Python scripts. I'm hoping that I can make a GUI from their library that allows me to input data. No on calc editor is still an issue.

What in particular were you referring by "Debug stuff". Did you mean my mentions of the file read/write things?

If you were responding to my point about debug messages, I might have been a little less than clear. I mean strings like this:

"[Sec Error] CException not handled, id=%d\r\n"

or

"Product ID(0x%02x) did not match HW(0x%02x)!\n"

Which are pretty clearly error/debug messages.

Interesting! I assume they're probably gonna release an updated USB-C version then? Unless they just left random strings from the 84-CE in this one. Wouldn't be the weirdest thing I've seen left in a production binary (in Outrun 2006, at least the PS2 build, there's a complete periodic table. Like written out as "yttrium".)

There is BT adapter/adaptor for CE, I have it, never tried it though.

Would need miniusb-usb-c adapter or different usb cable to try it with EVO.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to drop this... I managed to massage the TI Connect EVO into handing me the OS bundle (since unlike previous calculators, they don't just let you download them), and I've been poking around with it in Ghidra and stuff (hoping to start looking for a new jailbreak). Unfortunately, it looks like TI's OS isn't just a straight ARM executable, the data at 0x0 is definitely not a vector table. Probably some metadata of some kind, idk. Unfortunately, that means a lot of the pointers are probably screwed up, until I figure out what the actual 0x0 is.

The code looks pretty normal for ARM code and is probably C (unless they're writing in C++ for no reason). I don't think they left symbols in (I could just be dumb though...) but luckily for us, a *ton* of debug logging messages got left in, specifically for errors. That should make reversing quite a bit easier. I'll put my nose to the grindstone a bit more tomorrow or over the weekend... I'm already a bit burned out reading ARM assembly for my job so doing more at 2 am is a little nasty.

Anyway, some of the interesting strings:

at 0x58268: "Loopback Test - TI Bluetooth".

at 0x5900c: "TI BLE": more bluetooth stuff. And this is around some other interesting strings, like "Mouse" "Keyboard", and "Innovator." Idk. I'm tired.

at 0xd0d97: "TI Bluetooth(r) Adapter\r\n": Was there a USB-> bluetooth adaptor for the original 84-CE? This seems to confirm they'rea t least planning one if there wasn't already. Maybe for that like robot stem platform thing they made?

Also, this is a *much* more complex RTOS/whatever this is built on top of than the previous OS. It has a few references to threading in different strings (mostly from a crash handler and a few other error strings.) It might be default ARM stuff... though I personally don't recognize it from any default arm stuff. This is also probably written in C, not C++... unsurprisingly. It also has a decent number of error strings that refer to opening and closing files... and not from the python section. My guess? It makes some mention to some USB stuff in the same functions that load strings for errors with opening/closing files and filename errors. Maybe some support for saving/loading things from a flash drive? I'd want to actually sit down and start reversing this before I say any of this for sure.
