Yeah, "p <addr>" can be very useful (it's a port monitor, basically). You can output a value by pressing enter (and pressing enter again before typing 8 hex characters will cancel).

When hex editing, you can press the newline button instead of the enter button to enter ASCII instead of hex. Just type the letters you need.

Also, pressing any arrow key will paste the previous thing entered (or at least what you haven't overwritten). Like, you can type "r 10000000" to read address 10000000, then type an "h" and press an arrow key and the line will then be "h 10000000".

And thanks to Goplat for the ARM disassembly code (used with his permission of course, with slight modifications to the string output methods). Smile

Here it is , but you wont be able to do much with it for now ( Jailed in the root directory).

Use calc84's console program [ which runs on both calcs ] to get to the root directory.
Do it on the emulator only. If you do it on the calculator you will have to reinstall the OS. Sad

Code:

NONCAS:
Run the console program and enter:
w 1057a950 2f
q
------------------------------------------------------
CAS:
Run the console program and enter:
w 1054E950 2f
q

Do we have the address to do this on OS 1.7 Non CAS? Thanks!

Yes, you can find these and test them without Ndless even installed on the emulator.
On hardware however, you don't have access to the RAM without Ndless.

Code:

0x1077c8cc  noncas1.7
0x107408cc  cas1.7

Got Ndless 1.4 running under the latest updates. Very Happy

Here are the addresses for OS 2.0.1.60 Folder Application

Code:

0x107d48cc  NCAS2.0.1.60
0x1079c8cc  CAS 2.0.1.60

What's nice about this, is you get to browse the entire directory tree, but you only see *.tns files.
On <OS2 you were stuck in the directory you specified.
