Chipmaster has just edited this program. The source code now reads:
[quote name='"BASIC Code"']:Kerm Martian: Welcome, add stuff below this.
:Disp "LoLz"
:You're supposed to add your name, Kllrnohj.
:Never!
:<- why doesn't it add the ":" anymore on return key?
:<- and where's the line number loving?
:That was too buggy and noncross-browser (Kerm)
:**** the n00bs.
:If you insist.  I'd rather not though.
:Kerm: Hi UTI!
:Kerm bids all of you a solemn hello on this momentous historical occasion.
:Second test.
:Does it work now?
:Quotes should now be operational.
:And now non-ascii characters should be kosher.
:I think I overwrote you, elfprince13. :D
:Yet another test.  This checks dynamic forum abilities.
:Testing that again...
:Final test of :) :( ignoring :D smiley-like  combos.
:Welcome TI-Freakware!  SC2 now online on 4 sites.

Cool, but size down the font please, or SC2 might get warned. Smile

Imagine coding discussions, optimizing, etc... Then imagine each person editing the same file in realtime, with automatic updates when changes are made. "It takes a village" to the max.

Gaah! Imagine pages of the output produced on the View New Posts page! How about editing one post each time instead of constantly posting new ones?

there's no fun in that, and the topic wouldn't get bounced up Laughing.

Just a question: For the automatic updates, why does the code appear in a [quote] tag? Wouldn't it be better in a [code] tag?

Excellent question: there is a reason. I'm working on making the colorized syntax creatable by the SC2 bot, and there are several uses of bold, italics, and img tags that require BBCode, available in a quotebox but not a codebox.

I dont think phpBB supports it though, so it'll only work on Invision forums.

Simple find-and-replace. SourceCoder is already forum-type-aware, so it shouldn't be hard.

Alrighty, that's a superb idea. It's one I've been thinking about for a while, but I'm somewhat unsure exactly what it would take to make something that finds the differences between two sequences of bytes, be they text, code, whatever. I have a general idea, but if anyone could help with specifics, that would be appreciated.
