By hand. You look at their source code, try to understand it, and then try to do the same thing on your calculator. It's a long and hard process. The only other option would have been SourceGuru, but that's only for 86 ASM->68K ASM.

You would have to know how to program in both languages (z80 and 68k basic).
It's not that easy porting between the two: almost like rewriting the entire thing.

Since that program converts TI-85 programs into TI-89 programs, is there a program that converts TI-83 into TI-85?

No, and SourceGuru is hard to use and doesn't work with most programs. If you want to even consider thinking about attempting it, you should definitely read the readme FIRST.

How do you look at the source code of a program? I have lots of time on my hands, so as a last resort, I could try to reprogram the whole thing. But really, what are the differences between the 2 languages?

By the way, are the programs written in BASIC?

You can look at the source code of 83+ series and 68k series with the ever-famous SourceCoder and the little-known and rather hard to use (it doesn't render tokens like the store arrow) TI++ respectively.

Welcome to UTI and if you read back a page, I asked that too. He said they are in Basic and Asm.

There is a version for the 89 in the works, being made by Nerdy Productions. William White is also porting Pokemon Purple to the 86, as he has time.

And thanks for the compliments. Smile I thought about using xlib for this project, to make the tiles, etc, but the real purpose was to test the ability of my RPG Starter Kit, and with just a little modification, I have made the game thus far. :)

Edit:

There are 2 asm programs, one for the title screen, and one used to keep all the progs inside of ROM as much as possible...

Rewriting BASIC is comparatively easy (as I have read), but rewriting asm is much harder. Do you know when Nerdy Productions will release a demo of its version, and is it the same game as yours?

His is a direct port from red/blue, and will contain the sprites, etc from the originals. He has said there will be some interesting cheats available...

And I think he had a demo, though I am unsure...

I can't wait for the next Beta to be released! It's gonna be so much fun! I just wish there was a way to skip through all of Oak's talking when you start a new game. But as in the regular pokemon games, you can't!

Ta daaaa! gb68k! Technically that is a z80 emulator for the 68k, but just not a z80 calculator emulator. I believe tha5t would be very hard, as they are two completely different architectures, but if anyone wanted to make one, gb68k would probably be a good place to start.
