this is where i tell the progress of my RPG

v0.011 9th november 2004
Started making full assembly. Current size: ~2KB.
Features:
-walking
-say something when entering an house
-66 sprites

v0.011 10th november 2004
Added talking engine, talking now uses the small font.
Added conversation with a wizard.

v0.0119 25th november 2004
-save into appvar
-changed the map a bit
-added a concept of the fighting engine
-added some sprites

v0.012 2nd december 2004
-added opening menu
-when you have to press 2nd to unpause, it shows little a flickering arrow
-changed the map again
-added credits
-working on opening screen

I'm probably going to ditch the idea of choosing if your character looks like a boy, girl or monster (just like pokemon crystal had) because it increases the program size and development too much, as i have to make 3 times as much 'warrior from the back', 'character face' and 'walking character' sprites.

to do:
-make a fighting engine
-make an in-house map
-make quests
-make more sprites
-make guy and monster sprites, and something to make it use different sprites depending on your char.
-opening screen
etc etc

v0.012 12th december
changed the walking part a bit, if you face one direction and walk in the other direction, the character first turns. If you press that key again, it'll walk

Goals:
-at least 50 regular enemies, and 5-10 bosses
-at least 50 items (probably more)
-8 dungeons (just like zelda, and mario and other games that like the number Cool
-~5 hours of gameplay for the main quest, and another ~10 hours for the side quests.
-different story depending on your class and your choices in the game (like fable, but simpler)
-100 NPC's, all with their own unique text, and some different pictures (if i can make up enough text and sprites, the engine already SHOULD work with 100+ NPC's).

I don't know if i can actually manage to program or make all that stuff, but i will try Laughing

v 0.11 8 february 2005
don't worry, i'm still working on this. Did some minor optimizations. I also made the world a lot bigger, the game is now about 8K.

v 0.15 9 february 2005
I converted the game to an app, with exactly the same functionality as v0.11.

D-oh! did i forget to close this?

About progress: Destiny Realm is currently not being worked on, i'm spending all my programming time on the ASM contest currently.

But i will continue as soon as i have time again.

I started programming on Destiny Realm again. I made a font routine, but i'm not sure if i will use it. I also started map design. The area where the game will take place is probably North-west Europe, probably Norway (i even made a fjord sprite Smile ).
