I haven't seen it yet...been waiting to go with someone who hasn't seen the first 2 either....so as you can see I've got some serious catching up to do for this person before we go to see LOTR::ROTK.

I've seen the first two multiple times. (Not while in the theater, but at home.) I liked ROTK, especially Legolas and Gimli's contest during the Battle for Gondor. Laughing

They have LOTR in theaters? I thought it was only a movie.

I'm waiting for it to get translated to Russian before I see it.

why do you need it to be translated to Russian when you can speak English?

There will be a funny Russian translation that has the characters saying different things (I know the plot anyway from reading the book).

I thought it was amazing with the battle of Minas Tirith
BUT, when Aragorn came the battle ended really quickly, and the end dragged on and on and on and on and on...
Otherwise, it was pretty high ranking on my list of movies.
While I'm goin on about movies, any body like the third Matrix, Revolution. The first was definately the best, it just makes me wonder about stuff like that.

(It may be just be but I get the strong feeling to program something every time I see the first one) Laughing

The battle should have lasted longer once aragorn came, they should have shown the battle for the shire, and at the end they said it was the last ship leaving for the undying lands, but in the book it was said that Sam would be able to go to the undying lands eventually.

Never saw the movie, or read the book. Even so, I would've have thought it as pretty boring.

Or perhaps the model of the AT-AT from Star Wars was "reworked" to look like the Oliphaunts. (I think that's how it's spelled. The elephants used by the Southern men.)

Go watch the movies, read the books, and become a Lord of the Rings fanatic in general. Then you'll get it.

THANKS FOR ALL THE SPOILERS PEOPLE!

Geesh, some people might want to wait with knowing what happends until they are actually watching it, like me.

Anyway, I haven't seen it yet, but I've seen The Fellowship of the Ring dozens of times, both the normal and the extended edition, I've also seen Two Towers several times, but only the normal edition, and I'm going to watch Return of the King with a couple of friends soon, just need to see when everybody can make it and who's dvd player to use.
