The TI-84 Plus guidebook is now available electronically. The clock is viewed from the MODE menu (which now uses the small font), and there is also a new timer function in BASIC.

Also GetCalc( has a new argument:

About as much as the 83 Plus SE, though I can't quite remember. If you were going to buy a new one, go for the 89Ti instead. It's better than the 84 Plus SE, in my opinion. (Though I still don't like the new layout of the keypad.)

I have an 89 series, I need an 83 series. Should I maybe buy a regular 83+?

And look at this, there's a dayOfWk( function:

'Cause I've programmed for them for four years and can do just about anything for one in Basic at least, not to mention typing at xxxx words per minute?? Just a stab in the dark.

The descriptions for the 84 family of calcs say they're pretty much the same thing as the 83 family. So, if all you're going to do is program, I'd say go for an 83 Plus or something. (Cheaper, and it'll suit your purposes.) Of course, if you want to conform to the idea of having the latest and greatest, get the 84 Plus SE...

Yes, I think, and I must have gotten my calculators confused. I saw the dayOfWk( function on the 89.
