exactly what it says on the TI website:

Now if they changed everything to make asm programs not compatible, it probably would not be keystroke-for-keystroke exactly the same.

TI could always add something to throw people off. Waiting for someone to get one and test it, it seems, is the only way to know for sure.

I hope they won't. Anyway, will there be any way to access the USB port and link it with other TI-84+ in some asm games?

I'm glad I bought my 83+ Silver. Notice the crappy button layout on the 83+ Silver, I don't care how "cool" it looks, mine is just as good and the buttons are placed in a good placement on mine. Also mines overclocked Very Happy and I do believe it has 94 flash app pages ... you guys could be drooling now!

My newest calculator has a 75Mhz ARM9 processor, 330 KB RAM and 800 KB Archive, IrDA and type-B USB ports, and an SD card slot. Not to mention it has numerous algebra and calculus functions. (Only problem is learning how to use it.)

Who's drooling now? Cool

Does anyone else think the keyboard on the 84+/SE is ugly?

I finally save up for a silver edition and boom they come out with a new calculator Mad
well why couldn't they have released the news any sooner...

Call them the "TI 83/84 series"

I need to get a classmate who is not yet in AlgebraII to buy my calculator so I can just pay the extra for the new one. Hope to get an 84+SE on sale for less than $50 more than I can sell my calculator for.

I hope to be able to get a 84+SE on sale for $119.99 or less, letting me sell a used 83+ for $69.99. Of course, I'd like to get more for it... But if the new one can link through USB, I might be able to throw my computer link in for another $10, depending on what type of USB cable it needs, and whether that cable is included for free or I have a compatible USB cable. So I'm hoping to sell it for >$80, to pay <$40 additional for a 84+SE at <$120.

Wouldn't you overclock it in the same way as a normal 83+?
