I've installed TiLP after I couldn't get my TI Nspire to connect to the computer while in Ti-84+SE mode. However, when I try to run TiLP an error message saying "This application has failed to start because libticables2-2.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem." and then TiLP never starts. I've reinstalled this program many times. Never fixed it.
I also tried installing GFM and the same error message pops up. Can someone help?

I believe installing tilp is insanely difficult. I don't know, but you could try finding it on the internet.

Did you also install the GTK+ 2.6 package?

Yes. I've installed GTK.. well the TiLP installer did it for me after it installed itself. And yes.. very hard to install TiLP.. I'm installing this on a Windows Vista computer if that helps.

Then you should download libticables xD

You can find everything you need on tilp.info

Well, it's worth double-checking. But I've never seen the TiLP and GTK2.6 packages fail to install a dependency like this. But then, I've never tried it with Vista.

Oops, sorry, I thought you were referring to a linux install... (with the win32 package they should be included, as digitan says)

Maybe go to TiLP's program folder and add it to your %PATH% variable?

Um, Well I searched my computer. There is no libticables2-2.dll file on it. Only a libticables2-1.dll. It's in a Common Drivers folder, and that directory is already in my Paths variable. So, I don't think that's the problem. I don't have the file on my computer.

Rename it. It's worked for me before with .so files.

That'd mean that the TiLP package ships incorrect dependencies... Strange, I got TiLP working on a windows Vista (64 bit, parent's computer btw, barely use it), by just using the installer. Just a moment while I check it out.

EDIT:

I think I used this link: http://www.ticalc.org/pub/win/link/tilp.zip

EDIT2: oops, apparently not... Maybe I can find my older version.

My system doesn't libticables2-2.dll either. I don't suppose TiLP II is out of the question at this point?

Hmm... yeah, looks like the installer has the wrong version of libticables. Here is a completely untested binary of libticables 1.3.0 that you can try if you like. No idea whether this will actually work - it's linked against whatever random old versions of glib and libusb-win32 I had lying around.

Hello,
I've the same problem. But I don't know where I could put this file ^^'
I've tried to put it in the common files where libticables2-1.dll is but TiLp is still saying me that he can't find it.

Can I have some help please ^^' ?
(Sorry for my english, if it's bad, i'm french Smile )

Edit: Oops, after many times trying to make it work, i've finally succeeded.
Thanks all Very Happy
