Um nope, sorry. MirageOS is an application, which TI-83s don't have. You could look into ION though, I think that's what most 83 users have.
Sorry!

83+ (supports apps) around $70 or less. if you mow the lawn for $10 a week, in 2 months you can get one. |

Or get a job, and you can buy one with less than what you get paid in half a day. |

hahaha ... Amazing -- Well I bought one for 35 bucks from "sources" (Being a very common word that is used in this forum) -- Now I heard that by putting a : on the first line of th eprogram, it will automatically load in MirageOS, is that true? So somethign like this?
::
:ClrHome
:Output (1,4,"I didnt steal this calc"
That would automatically put my BASIC Program into Mirage?
Thankyou for your help -- And I hope to work with you guys more in this forum! |

It should work properly with OS version 1.2 (it think). But it is extremely buggy in any other situations, expecially if the program is archived. |

They will always be in MirageOS's menu if you type a colon (even without a description - Mirage will automatically add 'Basic Program: PRGMNAME' as the description if you don't have one), running them is a different matter.
On my calc, I can run the basic program, return to mirage, and my RAM gets cleared when I leave Mirage or run an Asm program. If the basic program was archived, and your RAM was empty anyways, this is no cause for concern. However, when you run the program, the first getKey you encounter will have the value of the 21 or 105 you used to start the program. When running some programs, you will also get your RAM cleared midway through using it (now that is bad). It is probably best to stick to running basic programs the regular way. |

Actually,
Dimply putting two colons will do if you do not want a description.

As for most juniors not thinking about a job, I got a job when I was a softmore. |

About getting a job...most Americans think you can't get a job until you are 16 (in North America), that is incorrect. There are certain jobs you can legally get once you are 14, but there are certain laws applied to them such as you can only work x number of hours on a school night, you can only work between hours x and y, you can only work x hours a week total, etc. Furthermore the job can be either minimum wage or better hourly, or piece work.
Now that you know that, I got my first job when I was only 15 working for 2 - 3 hours a night right after school, and 7 hours on saturdays, I have since been employed working at one job or another, sometimes more then one.

Two more things:
Some of the mirage programs have little pictures when they are selected. Does anyone know how i can make one of these?
Also, most of the "good" programs can't be edited by users. You can run the program, but you can't see it in the edit program menu. Are these just asm programs or is there a way i can do that with my basic programs too?
Thanks |
