At long last, Cemetech 6 has been rolled out. This site refresh was under construction for close to two years; I worked sporadically on it but never really got a chance to complete it due to having tons of schoolwork and other projects. Among other things, it contains completely repaired archives, a brand-new projects section, a beefed-up tiSAX, and of course, a brand-new visual style. Come and check it out!

Looks good, although you might want to update the SourceCoder page as well.

I didn't used to browse cemetech because of how much I hated the site design. It looks SO much better now. Great job on the over-haul!, it was long due. Wink

Yeah if the export function worked it would be so much more useful.

No, TheStorm. Just no.
EDIT: fine, delete that which I say is a bad idea. Oh yeah, about adding an emulator.

The new site is pretty nice, but it's a bit harder on my connection than CemetechLite. Also of note, I can't change the theme- on my profile page, I can select CemetechLite, but it doesn't save the change.

I always liked this design since you ever started working on it, but the following always irked me. Click thumbnail to see what I mean. This happens on almost every pages on the forums. I always miss a part of each page at the bottom because scrollbar never lets me scroll down completly at the bottom.

Tari: Aye, since I switched everything in the site into the templating system, the old themes wouldn't work properly at all.

ph34r: Thanks. :)

Omnimaga: How strange, I've never seen that before. What Opera version is that?

Opera 9.27. I had this happen with older versions too though, such as 9.2

I'm using Opera 9.27 right now and it's working fine for me. I can scroll all the way down.

Edit: hmm... now it's not working. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Probably a problem with opera.

I JFGI'ed, but I couldn't find anything. Chances are that something in my CSS is bugging in Opera.

yeah I would use 9.5 but Netham45 told me it had more problems with Gmail. I know since 9.2 Opera has been catching up on Firefox in term of unstability and slow updates but 9.27 seems more stable than the others with Gmail, altough I encountered a few occasional crashes everywhere else, which didn't happened with previous versions of Opera

THat said, the new Cemetech design works better in Opera than the new one though. With the old one when viewing topics if i clicked some links on certain topic pages, you know the little hand cursor that appears when you hover on a link? Well, when clicking the link it would go back to an arrow and do absolutely nothing at all. To navigate through a link I had to right click the link and Open in a new tab. Also there was some problem at the top of the page such as the forum navigation text (Cemetech forum index->Door CS for example) overlapping on the forum layout and it was glitchy (had to scroll all the way down, then back up to fix it)

Elfprince reported that this only happened on the posting page with him and Opera. Where did it occur for you guys?

for me this occurs everywhere on the forums. However, sometimes, but very rarely, when the page isn't finished loading it all seems to work fine.

Yeah this is strange that the scrollbar shrinks when page finished loading. Could it be something to do with the top banner? Because it seems to shrink by about the size of the banner.

What screen resolution are you on because there shouldn't be a horizontal scroll bar if you resolution is at least 1024x786 or larger.
