Starting from this page and clicking on BasicNote CE which I can only assume is supposed to be the download link just causes the page to hard refresh and not download the file for me in Firefox 66.0.2 on Linux. Here's the console log in case it's relevant:

Edit: Works fine in chrome.
I can't replicate this with Firefox 66.0.3 on Windows. Where does the link redirect you? It should be https://www.cemetech.net/programs/84pce/basic/programs/BasicNote.zip/download, that's the new format we use for downloading files.
The link goes right back to the original page, the same as if I try to go to that address directly.

The response I'm getting is:
Code:
HTTP/1.1 302 Found
Date: Thu, 25 Apr 2019 23:01:08 GMT
Server: Apache/2.4.25 (Debian)
Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=31536000; preload
Location: /programs/84pce/basic/programs/BasicNote.zip
Content-Description: File Transfer
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="BasicNote.zip"
Expires: 0
Cache-Control: must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0
Pragma: public
Content-Length: 115481
Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=100
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-Type: application/zip

I'm currently updating to 66.0.3 so we will see if that fixes it.
Maybe all that is related (?) to the problem we've had from direct links on some TI-Planet archive pages (context: a few years ago, we came to an agreement, between admins, that in exchange of the Cemetech logo being displayed on the tiplanet archive page, we could use a link that made the download be direct. Looks like this doesn't work anymore)...

Example from IRC:

Quote:
[2019-04-21 02:22:19] <Adriweb> We have a page for Tetrizm that links https://www.cemetech.net/scripts/countdown.php?/prizm/games/tetrizm.zip&location=archive
[2019-04-21 02:23:09] <Adriweb> showing this https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives/hosts_img/cemetech.net.png in the downloads info
[2019-04-21 02:23:21] <Adriweb> but I get redirected to https://www.cemetech.net/programs/prizm/games/tetrizm.zip Razz

The page is originally https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=1142630
Right click on the link in Chrome, say "Open Link in Incognito Window"

Link fails to download.

Do you have tracking protection turned on (or are you using anything along those lines)?

(Should be okay for now, I've applied a workaround.)
Apparently it is caused by having network.http.sendRefererHeader set to 0 in about:config, something which I'm fairly sure I didn't set manually. Tracker Protection is only turned on in private windows though.

Edit: Yeah, it works now.
Confirmed too from the tiplanet page Smile Thanks!
Right, I use network.http.sendRefererHeader=0 as well, and downloads failed for me, as I had reported on IRC.
