No, EasyMOD is something you install onto your website, as a part of phpBB (technically it's a mod). It will then allow you to automatically install other mods, like SAX.
Oh, ok. I can find this at phpBB.com? Correct?
Specifically, you can find EasyMOD right here:
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/catdb.php?cat=26

I wonder if this can be ported over to eblah rather easily. It would be the first portal modification for eblah ever since none of their current modders seem interested in making portal modifications.
Is there another location to download SAX. I keep getting a corrupted zip file when I try to download it here.

Ok... I have a problem again. I can't find this in overall_header.tpl
Code:
And just FYI, I'm not installing this on SubSilver. I'm installing it on AdInfintum ATM.
I have downloaded EasyMOD... But have NOOO idea where to put it.
Oh... I have a big Question, what does SAX do, if a post is made in a Hidden forum/topic to some users? Will it say a post has been added there, or will it only show to the users who have access to that forum?! I really need to know. .. Thanks.
Code:

did you read what to do with EasyMOD? Btw, easy mod is a nice web installer, and then you just use the web interface to install other mods.
did some searching http://easymod.sourceforge.net/readme/
That should get you going.
Also Kerm, when I get my CMS finished, could I get a SAX port for it at all or not?

shouldn't be that hard to do yourself, most of the routines are NOT phpBB specific.
Here's my list of things standing between SAX and phpBB3...
Working SAX into phpBB3
Step 1 issues:
1. Template directory has been moved. It can now be found in styles/subSilver/template. Keep this in mind while modding.
2. Template files have been renamed from .tpl to .html
For purposes of easy compatibility, for step 1, just add
"<style type="text/css">", then the SAX CSS, then a "</style>" AFTER this line:
</style>
<!-- ENDIF -->
This makes it compatibile with boards using external CSS, and internal CSS.
Step two is fully compatible.
Step three issues:
Install step three code AFTER this line:
---------------
<!-- INCLUDE breadcrumbs.html -->
<br />
---------------
(Right before EOF)
Step 4
Install step four code BEFORE this:
--------------
<div id="wrapfooter">
<!-- IF U_ACP --><span class="gensmall">[ <a href="{U_ACP}">{L_ACP}</a> ]</span><br /><br /><!-- ENDIF -->
--------------
Step 5:
(optional) change the "include" in the SAX code to "require" to make it the same as the others.
Step 6: FIND data not found. I tried adding it after
-------------
// The following assigns all _common_ variables that may be used at any point in a template.
-------------
Step 7
1. Sessions.php has been renamed to session.php
Step 8
1. English language directory has been renamed from "lang_english" to "english"
2. lang_english.php no longer exists. Common.php will suffice.
3. The search phrase given no longer exists. Just insert said code BEFORE "?>" at the end of the file.
Step 9
1. Search phrase not found... the system is completely different now, Kerm will need to work up a new solution for this one.
Step 10
1. Login.php no longer exists... I'll hunt down the new login code soon
I have a few quick fixes, none of which have been tested. Oh, and it doesnt work. Yeah.

alright, I can take a look at it, but I don't know enough Javascript really to do that.
anything that needs to be changed is php anyway
and i just love it! lol @ "Shakira porn movie!"
Kerm do u think i would be able to port this to smf? or ipb?

I certainly could port it, but I would have to learn more about those systems first. I am also quite interested in expanding elfprince's phpBB3 instructions.
You mean my phpbb3 instructions, or did I miss something?
PHPBB3 is amazing stuff by the way. It leaves IPB in the dust... I would suggest that you look into learning to mod it, because it's way more capable.
