from the front cover, it looks just like a profile website.
but a deeper glance on it reveals much more.

Anyone can apply to be an operative
the Application is analyzed and processed with the applicant's background and their proficiency in completing the questionnaire and the writing assignment.
When the application is processed and shows great efficiency, he/she becomes an operative and is given mysterious missions and assignments.

example assignment)
Dear Operative

This e-mail contains the details of your next Neurocam assignment.

NEUROCAM ASSIGNMENT – NTC – 5555/01 – Operation “Bridget’s Mirror”.

(A) AIM

The employment of a diversionary tactic designed to protect the Chief
Executive Officer of Neurocam International.

(B) CONTEXT

Operatives within the Human Resources Security Division have determined
that one of Neurocam International’s competitors has been making enquiries
in an attempt to physically locate Ms. Bridget Fischer, Chief Executive
Officer of Neurocam International.

The motivation for these enquiries is currently unknown, but, in the
interest of assuring the personal safety of Ms. Fischer, the Human
Resources Security Division has determined that low impact
counter-measures should be deployed immediately.

(C) EXECUTION

Below are the procedural details for this assignment. Any deviation from
the operational protocol described may result in a requirement of
disciplinary action against the operative.

1. Locate a restaurant, art gallery, tourist destination, hotel, café or
similar location which possesses a “Guest” or “Comments” book.
2. Into the “Guest” or “Comments” book write a message which is somehow
relevant to Neurocam.
3. Sign your message with the name “Bridget Fischer”.
4. Repeat this process in 5 separate locations.
5. Submit a written report which details both the locations visited and
the message left to the Operations Division by close of business [insert
date two weeks ahead].
6. Although not compulsory, the submission of photographic evidence which
either a) includes both the venue and the “guest” or “comments book”;
and/or b) shows an unidentifiable business woman (preferably with shoulder
length brunette hair) at the same location; will result in the potential
“fast-tracking” of exemplary operatives.

(D) OPERATIONAL SECURITY

Neurocam International is aware that many operatives publicly discuss and
relate their Neurocam experiences via online forums and web journals.
Operatives are permitted to continue this practice, but are strictly
prohibited from discussing the details of this assignment. Any operative
found doing so will suffer immediate expulsion from Neurocam.

(E) TIMELINE

Neurocam International’s ongoing operational objectives and the urgency
generated by the unknown origins of our competitor’s motivations dictate
that the activities detailed in this assignment must be completed by
Friday May 13, 2005.

Regards,

Charles Hastings
Head, Operations Division

The reply i got from the application: (scary)

Dear Applicant xxxxx.xxxx,

Thank you for your interest in Neurocam International.

Your application has been forwarded to a designated regional director
within the
Human Resources Security Division so that our organization can further
evaluate your suitability for recruitment.

In the interest of facilitating an expedient assessment, the Human
Resources Security Division is currently implementing a series of
background checks. We apologize in advance for the potentially intrusive
nature of these checks and assure you that Neurocam International only
undertakes this course of action in the interest of protecting our
propriety operational procedures. Any information gathered from this
historical evaluation will be treated as strictly confidential.

If your application passes successfully through this stage of the
application process, you will be contacted again soon.

An unsuccessful application will result in the cessation of all further
correspondence between Neurocam and yourself.

Neurocam appreciates that, in 87.1% of instances, new applicants
experience a desire to enquire about many issues which may further
enlighten them as to the true nature of Neurocam. Due to the need to
maintain a high level of operational security, Neurocam is unable to
provide much of the information desired by entry level participants.

We can, however, inform you of the following: Neurocam is a process which
you are already part of.

Having said this, if you do have any questions, please feel free to
contact me directly. I, or one of our Enquiries Officers, will endeavor to
answer as many of your enquiries as Neurocam's Organizational Security
Guidelines allow.

Thank you once again for expressing interest in Neurocam. I hope that
your application will be successful and that I will soon have the pleasure
of working with you.

Warm regards,
Brett Aquinas
Director of Inductions

Mmm hmmm, "background check." Riiiiiight.
That is creepy. If they have to keep everything top secret, it makes you wonder what they are really up to. It makes you wonder wether or not we'll hear from boost again. Evil or Very Mad
Laughing I sure hope so, but I don't see why not. According to their website, their worst "punishment" is kicking you out of their little cult.
Look at this, 0x5

They bother to keep track 0x5 !
Remember, 89.47% of all statistics are made up on the spot Razz
They desperately want people to join their cult so they pull numbers out of there rear hoping to attract someone. Laughing
that is how it seems. I really have to wonder about this.

You mean 64.723%, don't you?
oh hush guys, 60% of all Americans (which is nearly half) don't understand statistics.
Yeah, more than 2/3 of those people, around 20%, are incapable of simple integer math.
