Sorry if this is in the wrong section; I'm not sure where to post this.

Anyways, I need help using the Global Calc Net Client. I'm trying to get Gossamer 1.0 to run on my TI-84+.

I downloaded the client on my Windows 8 laptop.
Then I plugged in my calculator and installed the filter.
When it asked me what device to install the filter to, I selected this one:
Code:
vid:0451 pid:e003 rev:0110         TI Educational Handheld Device         Texas Instruments Incorporated

After that, I went to the terminal and typed in this:

Code:
gcncclient -n WebHub -l asdf -d direct

Then, I loaded up Gossamer 1.0 on my calculator, and it just freezes, saying, "Loading page...".
It does actually freeze. Like, I can't exit it with [Clear] until I unplug it.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Hmm, did you try any of the other hubs, like IRCHub with CALCnet Chat!? Are you using the direct (microUSB) cable, or the SilverLink?

I'm using direct with microUSB.
I'll try IRCHub with CALCnet Chat. I haven't tried that yet.
Alrighty, I look forward to hearing what happens. Also, it might help to run the client in -v (verbose) mode to see what's happening with it connecting to your calculator.

I added "-v" and I got this as output:

Code:
Info: Using default server host gcnhub.cemetech.net
Info: Using default port 4295
Info: Attempting to find calculator.       Press CTRL-C to abort.

It just stays there... forever...
I think that's my problem. It can't find my calculator...
Also, TI-Connect can find my calculator. But if I install the filter, then TI connect can't find my calculator until I remove the filter.

Any ideas?
Just to make sure, you're using a direct miniUSB cable, not the silver USB to I/O cable, correct? gCn does not work with the silver USB to I/O cable.
