TI-Connect ignoring gCn stuff. I was checking the connection by looking at TI-Connect.
Yes, they're totally different protocols. TI-Connect has no idea what gCn is. I just want to confirm one more time: you're using the cable with USB on the computer end and mini-USB on the calculator end, not the small audio-style 2.5mm plug on the calculator end, right?
Essentially, if you are using (^ this) then you are using the wrong cable
Right. I'm using Direct USB. Not that cable Qazz.
I tried doing WebHub too but this is all it says:
Code: Wrote 18 bytes to socket (join msg)
That's all it says. Nothing else.
When I connect my calculator to WebHub, I see this:
Code: C:\...\gcnclient>gcnclient.exe -l KermDUSB -n WebHub -d d -v -r
Info: Using default server host gcnhub.cemetech.net
Info: Using default port 4295
Info: Attempting to find calculator. Press CTRL-C to abort.
Direct USB connection created successfully.
Resolved hostname.
Socket #180
Wrote 19 bytes to socket (join msg)
Notice the "connection created successfully" part. If I then start Gossamer, I get this:

I will try again. I type in the stuff and it gives me the message that it gives when you just type in "gcnclient". Why did you put "-v -r" after it? Isn't it supposed to be, "-v -h"?

-h is the "help" command. It overrides everything else. "-v" means verbose; it's optional. "-r" means "retry on failure", which makes the gCnClient try to reconnect to your calculator if it loses connection.
This is what it shows me:
Code: Unknown option `-r'.
I tried doing it with IRCHub and this is what it says:
Code: I R C *

Unknown option -r, you say? Are you sure you have the latest version of the gcnclient? Sounds to me like you don't; grab it here:
http://www.cemetech.net/programs/index.php?mode=file&path=/beta/dcs72b2.zip
I have Doors CS 7.2 Beta 2 already.

I know, but make sure you're using the gcnclient that comes packaged with it.

YAY IT WORKS! THANKS!
Huzzah, at last! I'm very happy to hear that. Now, there are still a few minor bugs in the gCnClient, so one of the most helpful things you could do for me is explain any that you happen to run across during testing.
I was trying gossamer and it needs ram now. I have everything archived too.

That generally means that whatever web page you were trying to view is too large for the calculator to hold.
Lets say that you are doing a google search on gossamer. How would you type in your search?

You'd go to www.google.com/search?q=words+to+search. I'm afraid you can't type things into text input boxes in forms yet, although that is a very commonly-requested feature.
ok. I will wait for that version.

Fair enough. Although I should warn you that I don't have the time to code this up any time in the next few months.
