As the topic says, I was wondering how hard it would be to host a page on my website that grabs a video stream from a webcam at my house that i was going to run 24/7. I know someone is going to say, Why not live stream or something, and that's for sure an option, I'm just wondering how hard it would really be to just run it on my vps since i already have it to use.
The main difficulty is that you still need to get the data from your webcam at home to your VPS, so the actual work being done by the VPS is negligible, and would essentially only function to hide your home IP address.

Yeah, hiding my IP inst major, i mean it'll be nice, my main worry is that my home internet i couldn't have more than a few people watching, but my vps can handle alot more people watching the stream. I think i might just have to go with livestream and just embed the player on a webpage or something. Just need to get everything working under linux on both ends.
