Hi
Heya Cemetech, welcome to Camotech. I hope you stay your enjoy. Smile
Hi, I work as a math teacher on secondary school in Sweden.
And I've recently got a casio fx-cg20 calculator that I'am trying to program. Since there was som problems for me I was looking after forum like this.
Hey I'm Cameron, and I use the name Camotech.
I am a high school student, a senior, and I have a passion for physics and will go to college hoping to major in it. I have dabbled in Ti-Basic for a few years now on and off and I find programming in general to be quite interesting, and I am considering taking a programming course in college because, in this day and age, the possibilities are limitless for it. Sorry for rambling.
Suppose to ramble in the intro post Wink

The possibilities are endless with programming and it's a very desired skill, even if it's a hobby. You'll be able to supplement income with it or you can get into physics based programming and write physics software for science companies or physics for games. I'm starting to get into programming a bit more and it's certainly a great experience and freedom.
i am new to this. i do use doors cs7 and 8. i would like to become a ti 83-84 programer. i have a ti 83 84 84plus c and a ti nspire touchpad. i would like to program games . i can do simple stuff like program a equation but no games.if you guys here a cemetech can help me i would be happy. thanks.

Here's a website that might help you: http://tibasicdev.wikidot.com/home
They have lots of info on all of the commands, and there are several pages that can help you make a program.

Basically, a game is a combination of inputs and outputs, so one of the most important commands is getKey. You can find each of the key codes here.

If you need any more help, we'll be glad to help you Smile

Welcome to Cemetech! We would be more than happy to help you. I recommend that you start with Programming the TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus, a book that will teach you TI-BASIC (and programming skills in general) via lots of sample games and programs. If you choose to go that route, the Cemetech forum would be a great place to ask questions on things you don't understand as you read. Smile Most importantly, be sure to write lots of programs!
We're also a great place to ask questions even if you don't read the book. Please don't hesitate!
thanks for recomending the book for me i think it will help. would i be able to talk to you guys via ti-sax client?

Yep. You can either use the SAX client on the left side of almost every Cemetech page, or you can join the IRC channel #cemetech on Efnet, if you're familiar with Internet Relay Chat.
Hi my name MrPlow. I stumbled across this forum on accident and am very interested in making my ti84 a powerful handheld problem solver. Everything looks awesome so much to explore Very Happy
If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask Smile . Welcome to Cemetech, mrplow!
What brings me here is my TI-84 class and I own a TI-89 Titanium. What is doors, lol. I know how to code dreams on an online game called Furcadia, and I did know how to do HTML years ago but, I have fallen out of the times. My final for the class is my project, I am also working on a GIS map for my final in another class population shifts in the state of Montana from the 70s to now.

My name is Tom, I have a disease called Cerebral Palsy(I can share my experiences with it on PM). I am currently a student at a college in Nevada, and my goal is to become a Li sensed Land Surveyor which requires a 4-year degree and passage of a state exam.

I enjoy politics, I am a Democratic-Socialist in terms of beliefs but, I can see the other side of the issue very well! I was president of the local Young Democrats in 2012, was able to meet Presidents Obama and Carter in my lifetime. I saw Clinton speak(Both Bill and Hillary). Got to see Bush Jr. speak in 2006.

I hold two AA degrees(In Art and Science). I love to cook, hike, and make people laugh. I do actively participate in the theater, and I love to donate blood.
Welcome to Cemetech,Tmstffrd!

Was I right in reading that you are taking a class on the TI calculators?
After being banned for one year, I've been unbanned Smile
I promise not to make any more irrelevant/spammy posts.

If you behave like in the last few months, I am confident you will succeed. Smile

Some other community members were given a second chance on Omnimaga after being banned from Cemetech (or vice-versa) and they blew it. In one case, one joined CodeWalrus afterward and the only improvement is that now instead of asking them same questions 4 times, he asks them 3 times and instead of breaking rules outright he just pushes them to the very last limit of what's considered acceptable.

So it is always good to see a member that once broke rules a lot learn from his mistakes and become a well-behaving member. The next step now is more coding learning and perhaps a bit less chess Razz
I think I got banned because I pushed the rules too much last year.

I'm still trying to cram coding, chess, and Tolkien into my schedule Razz
Welcome back!
