I know people who have been working with C++ professionally for years who'd admit they still don't fully know it. It's a perilous beast, and one which I doubt could be tamed in 24 hours. What are you currently working with? Which IDE are you using? I'd personally recommend Visual Studio Express for its good and intuitive debugger and attractive price - it's free.

That said, Thinking in C++ is generally regarded as a good book on C++, and is freely downloadable from the author's website. My experience with Learn Subject in X Units of Time books is generally rather poor, and most online tutorials are awful (something I must admit to myself). GameDev.net ran a C++ Workshop which is over now but you can still follow along.

Impossible. Even 24 days is impossible. 24 months might be doable, though.

Well, as properly stated above, perhaps you can learn a Hello World in 24 hours, but you won't really "know" the language until you've coded several soul-crushingly long projects and made all the necessary mistakes and errors vital to figuring out how all the pieces fit together. As also asked above, what's the hurry? Finally, what relevant languages do you already know, like C or PHP?
