What do you think of the helpful button at the top of the page that says, "Take Me To The New Posts!"?

Yeah.

When someone posts something, it shows all the topics of the newest posts regardless of what category and forum they are in.

In other words, if you post a reply to something in humor, it will go on top of that list!

yes, however, you would save time scrolling to the top of the page and just clicking the button/link to get an already refreshed page.

It has existed for a long time.

If you go to the bottom of the page, you will see Today's Active Posts.

However, nobody ever sees or uses those links, so I decided to make it more apparent by making it stand out at the top of the page.

I usually use "View New Posts" and it works fine for me..........

seems to do the same thing, but only shows topics with new posts, instead of all the active ones...

It would be better if when in a board such as opentopic then the link would only get the new topics in that board. i use a program that automatically checks the opentopic board and gets all the topics and converts them to be read on my palm pilot and it would save space. or could we have a page that only has links to the topics of the board you are in because the program gets all html pages linked to from the main page so i am getting a lot of unwanted pages. or would it be possible for me to write a perl script that would get the topics database file and output the links for the topics in my own format?
