Awesome! Would the card games be like TCGs (Trading Card Games)? Because that would be really cool! Especially if somebody allowed calc-to-calc trading!

Well, depending on the length of the contest, RPG could be added as an option as well.

Well it's a 3 month contest, I would think that might be kind of hard to do. However if it was longer I would say yeah.

Yeah, it might be cool to go with RPGs, but that could seem rather daunting Sad I like RPGs... but it might be too much for this time frame (unless you are DJ and you can program 3 or 4 RPGs a day Razz)

I think this is going to be quite interesting, to say the least! I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants a TCG Razz

Hmm... I don't know what to vote for now! Neutral I'll give it a bit more thought, but I think trading card games might be fun... The interesting thing is that most categories can include elements from other categories anyways ie puzzle/rpg platform/puzzle action rpg etc. This should be very interesting. Smile

Right, I mean you could make an arcade game that is a shooter and a platformer. Or like Xeda said on Omnimaga, an rpg that has tcg elements. I would say pick something that fits your needs.

RPG could work if it's a small RPG, but I chose platformer personally. TCG could work too, but as long as it's not like Yu-Gi-Oh with 2000 cards or something.

-What do you mean by rewrites? Do you mean to remake a program that already exists out there? If so that is fine as long as it's all new and your own code. If you mean on your vote, I don't think I have the ability to do that. However you could send me a pm and we will take your original choice out and add your new one to whatever category.

I meant spcifically, can we enter a rewrite of a program we've made in the past. I was planning on rewriting a small BASIC game I made, either in BASIC but better, in Axe, or perhaps, if it's in time, hot dog's new "Correlific"

*Correlation ;)

And Platformer's just one vote behind! Is the result of this poll going to be whatever ends up being the theme of the contest starting on the seventh?

No, correlific is a new part of correlation, a new interpreter.

If it has been released before, you cant put it in as an entry. I mean if you remade the program using Axe or xlib or something that was far and beyond what the original BASIC version was. I think that would be fine. But I mean it cant be a few optimizations to an old program or something it has to have a lot of effort behind it.
