I recently downladed a TASM on calc program to learn asm because the basic TASM was too cufusing, (still is), and I tried an example program on the readme. However, when I tried to compile it, I kept getting a bcall error and stoped compiling. One thing I do know is that the directives used in this TASM are slightly different than what is normal. I was wondering if you veteran asm programers could download the progam and see if you can help me out or if I just have to suck it up and stick with the PC TASM. Here is the asm program I tried to compile in addition to the attatched TASM on calc file.

| Okay, I have tried this before, but I cannot remember what went wrong for me. I managed to get it to work, but I didn't like it (only because I program in hex so using TASM is too slow paced for me). However, my first suggestion it to try out Mimas because I like it even if I don't use it. I will recheck TASM, though. I attempted to make a compiler several years ago, but all I managed was to have it return the address of B_Calls and RAM equates (I had all the ones included in the SDK). |

I couldn't really figure out TASM on calc either. I have taught myself assembly using Mimas, and it works wonderfully.
So yeah, Mimas should be the way to go. |

| Yeah, I didn't have much of a problem figuring it out, but the problem is that you need to use lowercase letters (which also happen to use 2 bytes). It is a cool program, but I would stick with Mimas. |
