As we saw in an earlier post, the ti84 SE is soon going to see the end of its days...
But have you ever considered what other graphing calculator companies like Casio have been designing while TI was making us jump through hoops to program the NSpire?
This is the new Casio Prizm, a new graphing calculator with 16mb Rom, 10mb ram, a 3.7-inch, 384 X 216 display with 16bit color depth, and an impressive battery life of 140+ hours on AAA's. Ready to admit defeat yet, TI?
It is planned to come out sometime in January 2011, not to far out to tell the truth. It looks like it will have superior programming support as opposed to the TI Nspire, so TI has screwed itself by not making the Nspire more assembly friendly. It also costs $20 less than the NSpire does now, at $129 dollars when realeased. To tell the truth, if TI doesn't make an equal-powered calculator with heavy programming abilities, I'm buying one of these a things when they come out on shelves.

| WOW! I have been waiting for something like this. This site will have to make another section for the Casio! If I can program directly on it in hex, I will buy one, no questions asked. If I can program directly on it, I will take at least a few minutes before I buy it. |

| Well, even better than stupid hex typing, maybe it'll support full assembly and even maybe C in it's SDK. |

BUT... I love programming in hex! Seriously, I have never made an ASM program using mnemonics. Even my humongous libraries! I am sure I am not the only hex programmer! |

| The problem with TI's nspire programing is the same as the problem with dogshit on a popsicle stick. It just doesn't pass the smell test. |
