Okay, so I have windows 7 and have downloaded my Ti-connect. When I plugged my calculator in, the computer did the found new hardare, and immediately searched for a driver. It then said it couldn't find one and it troubleshooted it. My computer then told me that my Ti-84 Plus Silver edition is not compatible with my version of windows. IS this true? And if not, what is happening?

strange, i have win7, downloaded ti-connect, and it worked just fine with my 84+se. did you have ti-connect installed before you plugged your calc in? if not, try installing ti-connect first. if you did have ti-connect installed already, well, i'll think about it.
(sorry for no caps, i didn't feel like holding shift)

Yes, you need to install TI-Connect (or TILP) before plugging your calculator in.
