Firstly, it's been too long since I've logged on. Hey!

Secondly, I know that several people have made games with sound, and I was wondering if there was any programs out there for the 83+ series calculators that allow you to use them as 'synthesizers'. I'm not looking to do anything very advanced, but some beeps and boops would work well with a project I'm currently working on.

Thanks in advance!

I believe Ben Ryves made a nice 4-channel 'mod-like' player, called QuadPlayer. Available here:

I suppose I should have been clearer, but I was hoping for something that would allow me to create sounds in realtime (not sure if that's the proper term). I didn't see anything that would allow me to do that in the readme, though I may have missed it.

Do you kind of mean like you run the program, type something in, and it makes the sound?

Ahh ok, well very technically you could make use of Bens routines to create such a program.

I do believe there is at least a beat machine that allows you to do such things.

Perhaps you might be able to find something at omnimaga, they have a few musicians lurking their forums.

Try this: http://www.calc.org/program/2437

It's a real-time "piano", 83/83+ w/ source.

I talked myself out of thinking there was a piano app, i kept gettign confused with 'my little piano' on pc Smile.

Come to think of it, some loop/track based music software would be pretty sweet on calc.
