Spambots have been registering here for years. Only, this one appears to have stuck around long enough to write something into his profile (for which his account has now been deleted). I analyzed several similar accounts based upon his user name, e-mail, and I.P., but found nothing terribly incriminating, and so I left those alone.

As always, members should flag spam posts, should they arise, with the button. Since profile spam usually isn't too big of a deal—this particular profile had only three views (the author, the observer, and myself)—it might be better if you alert a staff member through the personal messenger. That way, they'd find it as soon as they log in to the website (or sooner, if they have all messages sent to their e-mail inboxes).

...Inboxen? Inboces? Inboxae...?

I knew that button would come in handy some day.

If you see a moonplots4sale guy. Tell them I have a business proposition for 'em. I'm in serious need of prime lunar real estate.

The low gravity would definitely make it interesting to program.

It's a risky move, I invested in some moon plots and then they got bombed by NASA. Now my investment is completely worthless.

Invest at your own risk.

I don't know. I heard about a guy who figured out how to bypass those little pictures with javascript. Is there any way to make it different to register?

Again, spambots have been registering here for years.

Notice how little they've been posting. ;)

Unless you're intent on shopping for medicine by viewing every new member's profile, I'm not all that concerned. By the way, neither "Buy Tamiflu" nor "2 Buy Green tea Online" have anything written into their account information. But there are some others that have links dropped into their signatures. I could wipe those, wait for more to show up, and then repeat the process forever, or maybe I could look into something a little more intricate for the registration process.

If they contributed like a good member should, then I'd actually prefer them over someone else who only provides quantity over quality.

Sort of like the infinite vending machine in that other thread. Wink
