The title describes my problem. I need to access the contents of a USB flash drive, and I can't seem to find DOS drivers that work.
I need access through DOS rather than my normal operating system because I need to run a utility that is on the flash drive and can only run in DOS.
To be more specific, I have installed Slax on my flash drive and want to run it on my PC without an emulator. My computer does not have a "boot from usb" option, but Slax has a DOS program that you can use to start it.
Any ideas?

Well, how are you booting DOS? Could you put whatever stuff you need from the USB disk in the same place?

I'm using a floppy disk. You cannot put Slax on a floppy disk.

Indeed, I imagine you can't, but you can fit Linux (including USB drivers) on a floppy disk, and I'd guess you can probably squeeze loadlin or whatever on there as well.

Or you could skip DOS entirely and use syslinux.

Well, I got it working. I found working drivers. Now if my monitor will just display everything...

EDIT: I'll describe the problem more fully.
DOS boots, my USB drive is loaded, I go to C:\ (where my flash drive is) and cd to \boot\dos. Then I run slax (or slax.bat). It boots fine, getting to the (terminal, it doesn't automatically start X and KDE) screen. After I log in, I can run either startx or xconfig. Running startx blanks my screen and I have to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot my computer and watch it reboot. Running xconfig and then startx produces a black screen also, but with different dimensions. When I hit Ctrl-Alt-NumPlus or Ctrl-Alt-NumMinus, nothing happens. (xconfig recommended I press one a few times until I could see everything) When I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot, I don't see it shutting down.
Any ideas how to configure my monitor?

EDIT2: Since KDE takes a moment to start, I'll wait a minute or two to try the above key combos.

None of the above approaches work. I have had some success with changing the monitor almost instantaneously after I start KDE, but it goes black in a moment. I am still stuck on the monitor. Help?!
