Justin,
A task handler in APP 1 was not intended from the beginning. It has disadvantages, though. The interrupt requires a safe ram area (for jumptable+code), which may be corrupted by other asm programs. We are a taking a risk here.

NextPerception,
To tell you the truth, it's currently unscheduled. The UTI website has to be completed before we proceed with NimbusOS. When it is completed, we'll make an estimation of the release time.

After second thoughts (and above all an advice from CoBB) I think you can forget what I've told about cmdShadow and StatRam Smile

David,

You are correct.

I am thinking about writing the task handler for App 2.

Essentially, App 2 will = App 1 + tasker + MirageOS support

I don't care right now as long as you release app v. 0.01 by next december. That's how much I want you to release the thing.

well, you could bcall(_insertmem), copy appbackupscreen or somewhere to it, load the interrupt into it, when done, restore the appbackupscreen

Well, with NimbusOS as it is now, you can't change any settings, and the behaviour of TI-BASIC programs in NimbusOS is weird (might even crash your calculator).

How about we release it before Christmas even if it is in its current state.

I mean, provided whe put a message saying that it is not finished, people won't judge us too harshly.

Ok, I accept that we release NimbusOS in it's current state as another beta (# 5) before the end of this year.
Let's not make any big deal of this, the file should be available from this site only, I don't think it deserves so much more publicity than that Smile

Agreed.

However, I think we need to make it clearly state that it is not finished, so those who review it do not try to stack it against other shells that are complete.
