Hey it's me again, causing trouble in the TI world.

I'm trying to keep as close to serial linking protocols as possible and one of those is to keep or start with the line low at 0v. but as most know the calc stays high between 3.5 - 5v (at least mines that way) but when I use the simple out command at the beginning to set the line low the calc crashes? but if you immediately set the line high again just after setting it low the calc won't crash. Thanks for your help! Rolling Eyes

What do you mean by "crash"?

The calculator has a link interrupt that kicks in when either line goes low and tries to receive a byte. (This is why the calculator freezes if you plug headphones into it).

interrupts aren't the problem, I've disabled them before hand, but when I set either the tip or the ring low and continue with the program the calc slows down until all RAM is used and then resets itself. If that makes any sense

Overflows must be a really bad crash on a real calculator... How bad can it be?

In emulator I did one. It made all memory the same 2 bytes... I was too bored debugging to laugh about the overflow. xD

Sorry the offtopic, but I couldn't resist. I am on my rare spamm days and today I discharged on UTI. Razz
