I have a new idea for a site, reviews. It won't be your standard run of the mill review site but will have reviews about anything posted by anyone. I am current searching for a cms to get me jump started until i create my own. Does this sound like a good idea and would anyone contribute?

I'd contribute, but I don't think it'd necessarily be a good idea. Amazon.com already has everything you'd want in terms of product and book reviews, and the key to a good review site is to have lots of knowledgeable people doing the reviews. For reviews about anything not covered by Amazon , you can just find the most popular site for that thing and search around there. Take TV shows for example. A quick Google search yields tv.com, which seems to have a pretty good selection of reviews for individual TV show episodes. For video game reviews there's GameFAQS and Gamerankings, and for movies there's IMDB.

That's just IMHO. If you could get such a site as you're suggesting working, then it would be incredibly convenient and useful. It would give reviews a standard and a universal framework that they don't really have right now. But I don't think it'd ever work.

That's just my opinion, no offense meant. If you do decide to do it, I'd help.

Well i have installed a barebones installation of php-fusion. One of the advantages/disadvantages is that user must submit the articles(reviews) and i have to read through them and approve them. What categories do you think i should use before i post a link to the site?
