Yeah, I got a phone call from the number "0". That's a single digit zero. Any idea who it's from, or why it's doing this?

Did the call come to your cell phone or land line?

I've seen this once before. It turned out to be an outbound call center (spammers or debt collection) with VoIP service. Naturally, calling them back is impossible.

Dude, "0" is the operator. They're calling because they're trying to help you to help escape from the Matrix.

I think the only way to do it would be to have FBI friends trace the call. Other then that, you are out of luck. It's probably similar to *67.

My friend has time warner and their service displays the telephone number of whoever is calling on the television when the phone rings. I see 0's (single digit) alot. It's a private number (almost always telemarketer). As far as I know there is no way to block such a call.

@ FloppusMaximus: The matrix has you. O_o

Sounds like some telemarketers have their equipment set up incorrectly for the number they're broadcasting as the callback number, which as you should know is illegal for them not to have a legitimate phone number displayed from which you can contact them back. A good place to start is by making notes of when these types of calls come in to your cellphone and matching it up with the actual phone bill to see if it has a more legitimate number. Also pay attention to key things in whatever message they call with, you can often use that information to help determine what company is calling.

I think it was probably a debt collector. They stopped calling once I told them they had the wrong number (they asked me for a name that I didn't know).
