I have some 83+s that have garbled screens.
This is what I've tried so far:
1. replaced the batteries
2. installed using clear and on buttons
3. installed using del button and updating OS

I've been able to update the OSs on them, but screens are still garbled. Any thoughts, suggestions, or magical incantations? TIA.

Are the screens constantly garbled, or is it only when running certain games or programs? Are they regular 83+ calculators or more advanced models (SE, 84+ series)?

Jim e's LCD Fix may help, depending on what the exact problem is.

Then, they are FUBAR (messed up beyond all repair). I would suggest calling TI. They [s]usually[/s] sometimes replace these sort of things.

I'd call TI even if your calc is out of warranty. They might take it in or even send you a refurbished replacement.
