Hello, I was doing some simple calculations when suddenly the entire screen froze (my hand slipped, wasn't sure what I pressed).

I have tried
1. Taking out the batteries and putting them back
2. Taking out 1 battery while holding DEL for 5 seconds, then putting it back
3. Using TI connect to put in another OS (now instead of a frozen screen of my calculations, i get a frozen blank screen)
4. holding 2nd+left arrow+right arrow+on

help would be appreciated

Are you ever able to get the calculator to show a screen that says "Waiting for OS..."? This is what you need before you can re-send the OS.

Try removing all 5 batteries (there is a coin-shaped battery beneath a screw that many people are unaware of). If this doesn't help, try leaving all 5 batteries out for a full day, to ensure all the ram gets reset.

Are you sure that one of the keys isn't stuck? I have never heard of a problem with the TI-OS doing this on its own.. unless you had some asm programs or flash apps on it...

Maybe you need new batteries?

Also, that 2ND + LEFT + RIGHT + ON is for the TI-89(Ti).

Well with TI connect i sorta just found the calculator, and dragged an os into it, is there a step by step procedure i should follow? Also i left all 5 batteries out for a full day, then put them back, opening screen shows "ram cleared" but no keys work.

also no keys are stuck
