The title says it all. I would find it amazing if someone could get a fighting game on calc that is comparable to Mortal Kombat. However, I really don't expect any of you to care, seeing as my last project went up in flames shortly after I posted. So, anyway, just throwing an idea out there.

Flames welcome.

EDIT: Oh, look. Views, but no replys. Yaay.

I made a Mortak Kombat game for only the TI-83+SE (which now means 84+s as well) 6 years ago, with 10 characters, but it was very basic and ran very slow because of all Lbl/Gotos, plus it was unoptimized, considering this was one of my oldest programs. Randomist in #tcpa was making some kind of fighting game called Moshpit a while back but idk what happened to it.

And tr1p1ea is making Super Smash Bros

It's a good idea. Why do you expect flames? People here are generally accepting of new ideas and requests.

I'm nowhere near good enough or persistant enough to take up a project like this though.

Smash Bros? SWEET.

ya, I don't think there's a major fighting game on the z80s yet... but tr1p1ea will provide us with an awesome Super Smash and non platform Mario game.

Calculator Tribute featured a few fighting games. Let me tell you, they're not easy to find.

I found one on ticacl a while ago but it had a low frame rate and was pretty big(one program per fighter plus a main program) so I didn't dl but considering it was featured I'm betting it was pretty good.

There have been almost no good fighting games on the calculator, so I'm sure it'd go over well.

Also, it's generally a good idea to wait more than five minutes to complain about people not posting replies to your topic. Not everyone is on UTI all day Razz.

King of Fighters 2k was a great one of the 83+ line - it's a shame it was never built upon, it had a lot of potential.

I was pissed off at the time about something else. Sorry. :)

Why not? It's pretty cool--while not much in the way of graphics, the game works.

Well, can't argue with that. I/We (if anyone wants to help) will forge onward!

Seriously, if anyone wants to help, I'd welcome it. We could own the world SO hard.

EDIT: Apology for line spacing failure. My Return key is being retarded.

EDIT x2: EMO WARNING EMO WARNING EMO WARNING Why didn't I see this coming? Propose an idea, everyone welcomes it. Ask for help, they look at the people next to them and wait for them to raise their hands. I don't know why I thought I'd get replies after this.

EDIT x3: Added emo warning.
