I was looking at the TI-89 and V200 manuals, and there are a lot of functions that are only described in the latter. However, I remember upgrading the OS version on my regular TI-89 and getting a lot of new commands out of it.

What I want to do is find out the hardware/OS requirements for all the new functions. Can someone with a better knowledge of the different 68k calculators help me out?

The clock commands: checkTmr(), ClockOff, ClockOn, dayOfWk(), getDate(), getDtFmt(), getDtStr(), getTime(), getTmFmt(), getTmStr(), getTmZn(), isClkOn(), setDate(), setDtFmt(), setTime(), setTmFmt(), setTmZn(), startTmr(), timeCnv(). From research, I believe these require HW2 (or higher) and AMS 2.07 (or higher).

The reciprocal trig commands: cot(), cotֿ¹(), coth(), cothֿ¹(), csc(), cscֿ¹(), csch(), cschֿ¹(), sec(), secֿ¹(), sech(), sechֿ¹(). I remember using these with AMS 2.09 on a TI-89.

Other commands: data▶mat, DelType, ▶Grad, isArchiv(), isLocked(), isVar(), impDif(), ▶ln, ▶logbase(), mat▶data, stdDevPop(), ▶Rad, as well as the two-argument syntax for log().

Two comments. First, ▶Rad is not in the TI-89 manual but I can't believe it wasn't on the TI-89, that would be silly. Also, stdDevPop() is 9 letters, contrary to TI's customary limit of 8 letters per command, is that really the correct spelling?

If there's no 68k calculator expert around (very likely), can everyone with a 68k calculator post their calculator, HW version, AMS version, and which commands they have? That way, we can try to figure these out.

First, on my calculator, it spelled stDevPop(, without the first d.

Second, to figure out which commands came into use when, it would require all AMS and/or OS versions . . . Which could be pretty hard.

Lastly, I have a TI-89T, so it's commands aren't really comparable (it probably has everything).

Well, the TI-89's AMS 2.09 is advertised on TI's website as giving the following features of the "recently released" 2.08:
• New Trigonometric and Hyperbolic functions
• Clock and date functionality

So that definitely refers to the first two categories in my post above. I just downloaded it and it doesn't have any of the other commands (and no, it doesn't have ▶Rad, either)

So that answers about half the questions.

History lesson:
Well for the additional functions added to the 89 and 92+ since 2.08, they've been around on the V200 since 2.07. When the V200 came out with 2.07, the 89 and 92+ were still on 2.05. About a year went by before 2.08 was released for all three calculators.

With that said, I've had my 92+ since about early 2002 when the v200 came out, and I've updated the OS a couple of times on it. (originally from 2.05 -> 2.08, then 2.08 -> 2.09). My 92+ has a hardware version of 2.00.

More info: the pdf file on the AMS 3.10 update for the TI-89Ti/V200 says that the following commands are new: ▶Grad, impDif(), ▶ln, ▶logbase(), root(), and stDevPop().

I still want to know about data▶mat, DelType, isArchiv(), isLocked(), isVar(),mat▶data, and ▶Rad, which were introduced sometime in between 2.09 and 3.10. My bet is on 3.00 but I'd rather be sure.
