Hi,

I am using my TI-89 for 6 years now. The last week I am having 2 problems:

1)
It won't go off, when I press 2nd - off it shuts down and immediately reboots. The only way to turn it off is to remove a battery.

2)
It gives the error: Link transmission. I can't connect to a computer or another TI-89. The cables are ok: My TI-83 works fine.

I tried resetting my calc, it didn't help.
I removed all batteries (including back-up) for a day, it didn't help.

Is there anybody who knows a possible solution to one or both problems?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds serious. I'd just not use it for now.

Or I can just press F1: "help" and wait for the helpdesk to arrive.

Anyone else a better idea?
