Ok, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with calculator programming or anything. I'm just trying to spread the word on my new flash animation cartoon stickman out to sea. So check it out and tell me what you think.

Nice flash (I wish I knew Flash, or the program to make it was free...), but why did you put this in the ASM section, wouldn't it make more sence to put it in the Open Topic area?

MaxVT103, just wondering, is the only program to write flash made by Macromedia, or are there free options? What do you use?

Ok, you can download a trial version of flash from macromedia. I'm not sure if its full featured or not. But the trial of flash 5 I had allowed for saving and publication and stuff. Granted it was only a 30 day trial. Their are other programs that will make flash like toonboom studio and such but I have no clue how to use them and their trials won't work on my computer.

Or set your clock to 30 years in the future so your 30 day trial becomes 30 years and 30 days.

I'm not sure if this works with all trial software though, i don't use many trial versions.

Yeah, since my trial is almost done Wink , I'm gonna save up about $50 more and buy a student copy of flash mx for $100. But hopefully stickman out to sea will continue.

Try disabling any internet connections (pull the plug) and only set it back a couple of days/weeks/months/years.

Oh, and don't use fireworks.

I like the ripples a lot (simplistic yet realistic), but I think it is too slow-paced (I was kind of bored watching it). A lot better than any Flash animation I ever made.

I've been interested in Flash for a while now, so I think I'll try out the trial. Smile
Is there any tutorial you followed, or how did you go about starting it?

Lol, its supposed to be kinda slow to symbolise the boredom that happens while stuck on the island. Their are some tutorials for flash, but everything I learned that I used in these animations were really easy to do but time consuming. And their are no character animaion tutorials at all. And I mean I still haven't found any good ones. But its fun to do so I encourage downloading the demo and trying it out. And I'm $10 short of buyingthe new MX Smile

If you use the tuturials that come with flash you can do pretty much anything, for example character movement is just normal movement but several things move at the same time, nothing a bit if trial and error can't learn you.
