Yeah, I saw that commercial and this video was the first thing I thought of. I should have refrained from mentioning it aloud in a group of people, though.

Okay, here's the update: I checked with the student attorney's office and they think I should proceed. Tomorrow I have an appointment so we can draft a Cease and Desist letter to send in. They think I have a very good chance of recouping my dime from Sony.

seems like a belated halloween prank, but this is so weird that sony video looks so much like the calc tribute, in the way they present the games and all. Maybe it's just a coincidence though. I want to agree that sony copies lot of stuff indeed tho, they even got into lawsuit stuff a lot in the past. That said I wonder why sony would inspire themselves from a calculator video tho (even if the video is good)

I'm going to start sarcastic/humor threads and lead users on for pages every once in a while now, for absolutely no reason. Especially in subforums other than the one which was made specifically for "humor, jokes, and laughing," according to the description. It seems like a fun thing to do. If staff can, why not I.

| Well, for anyone wondering where it went. Calculator Tribute is back online thanks to a reluctant audio swap. Sometime in the not-to-distant future, we might find it useful to make another tribute video with public-domain tunes. |

I was thinking of maybe re-editing for the sake of timing. But these days I'd probably get sidetracked before I ever finished. For now, the original is restored with new audio and I could probably add game/date annotation now that's a new youtube feature.

| It looks like youtube pulled it when audioswap was a new feature. Instead of muting it, the video was simply hidden from public view. I noticed it was still on the account this week, picked a different song, and it was back later that night. |
