In our game, there will be two (2) types of minigames.
1: ingame minigame (ex. Sky room)
and
2: node minigame (ex. Blocks)

For the ingame minigames, the easiest way to do this is probably have something trigger the game to start (like reading a note or opening a door) and then activate a subroutine.

The node games should be activated at the nodes.

Here is where we post ideas for minigames and screenies of what we have so far.

Node minigame #(I think two or three would be about right)

The AI is the hardest part and is still being finalized. I think to pass the node, it would be best 2 out of 3.

Well it's there somewhere. Any way, we'll need to ask for permision if we want to use it.

I see you wasted a lot of time pasting the same link.

I don't think he'll mind...

About blocks. I did some more coding this morning during church, but as you can see from my life topic. I won't have much time for the next two weeks. That is why I wanted to finish by this weekend. I think I can code it all on paper and then see how it works on my computer. I haven't done any major projects in ASM yet so this should be fun, but I should finish by the end of convention in two weeks. I hope that isn't too long to wait. Otherwise harrierfalcon could do it and I would be fine if you just took my name out of the project b/c I don't feel like I've done that much.

I haven't really done that much either. I've...

  • Helped originate the idea
  • Made a GUI (that might not work anymore) that made the other's jobs easier
  • Said I would do the Sky thing and shooting and Blocks, but haven't done anything.
Might as well take me off the list too, if I miss the deadline for Metroid Pi.

I will not be the first to take anyone off the list. I say we'll figure it out at the end to give credit where credit is due.

Congrats on the new UTI member Statuses!!!!

Nitacku and I are unworthy to work with the group of all UTI members, So we quit.

*slaps luby and nitacku until they come back*

Rawr. Well, I have a rather intimidating list of things to do: Metroid Pi and Zayo, so I probably won't be doing any real coding for a while.

I'll give you (and bananaman) a two week, paid vacation, so at or around July 1st, we will be back in business.

I hope to finish this by the end of summer, I think it is doable.

Oh yes, it doesn't seem like a terribly difficult project. And from what I know about nitacku. He is really good at throwing out code in a hurry. If you want some help coding I would be more than welcome to help in two weeks.

Finally, something on topic.

Beta release:

This is the game board.
-----------this V is your target

-----------this ^ is your laser.

The other two similar objects are the computers laser and target.

You must hit the target while protecting yours.

There is one known way to beat the computer. Good luck.

Please report bugs

Paid vacation=you get time off and still get paid as you were working.

Pay during coding=$0000
Pay during vacation = Pay during coding=$0000
you will get an empty envelope in the mail soon.

Hey, Back on topic, Nitacku, I think we could implement your Tetris game (xlib style) into Protocol as a minigame. Do you think you could do that?

If it were shrunken a bit, maybe...of course, we could always implement a Pegz thing too Very Happy, or maybe a Linerider thing (where you have to make the guy jump into some complicated spot Smile ).

The Pegz thing Maybe... like in a room (similar to what the sky room is supposed to be like)

Linerider...maybe as an easter egg, only playable on the minigames menu. I don't think it would be a good game, remember, it is a toy, with no objective.
