There is no backup, I did the work on a long car ride. I'll look for it more today, if I find it we'll have the enemies up.

that is very sad for the enemy code and for your poor calculator. I hope it doesn't have to spend too many days w/o its bed.

Well, I know I said I wouldn't be here for 2 weeks, but I was misinformed. I have today and tomorrow here, then It will be 1 week of no computers, no coding.

Since Super Speler Suddenly lost his calc, I did some futzing and developed a very basic Enemy system integrated with the code. Every time the screen is updated, the Program Enemy is called. Every 5 times, Something happens. In this case, The laser shoots.

Damage is also integrated and a fully functioning menu.

Enjoy.

I have made a fake enemy. It right now is no different then a stationary block. but, it is all set up (in prgmACTION) for other enemies when they are implemented. Here is a screenie of it in action.

It also shows that I got Gooses' minigame added in. It runs from archive.

no more from me for 2 weeks. Two words: Eagle Project.

Dang! That's so sweet!
It looks like the engine is running really fast too.

As soon as I finish up Implicit, Protocol is next.
(Graphics are going to be so much easier  )

Well, here's a list of the enemies that currently work:

1) Moves back and forth vertically (gonna add shooting power next)
2) Moves back and forth horizontally (gonna add shooting power next)
3) Moves randomly and through walls (good for puzzles with 'invisible' blocks)
4) 3x1 stationary (I can make it move, but it'd be too slow) spinning blade thingy (Like 000 then after a 3 cycles it switches from horizontal to vertical, the middle 0 has an 'eye' in it, shoot it twice and you kill the enemy)

Anything else you specifically want? If not I'll just make one after another.

Here's a few Ideas:
One that moves really fast, and if you get too close, hits you with something.
One that doesn't move (gets in way), or moves really slow, and has lots of armor. Every now again, it attacks everything with in 1 square of it (like the EMP) and shoots a laser in all directions.
One that pops up in random locations with random laser beams (that come from nowhere), but only requires one hit to die.

I'm beginning to think that enemies may not really be an option (unless someone here has any ideas).

Also, any thoughts on using isometric graphics in place of normal 2D ones? JFish on omnimaga was working on some pretty cool isometric stuff and I think it'd really make protocol stand out.
