The criteria to become a member does not depend on the number of posts one has.
Rather, it depends on the usefulness of the member to the community.

Who said anything about post count? It is evident that post count is irrelivent as it is a group and not a rank.(Uti supporter is only given to money contributors) What I was saying to HF, was not that he had a lot of posts, it was that the posts he has made have not been a waste.

Just merely stating a fact.
I wasn't addressing anyone in particular.

And I also agree that Harrierfalcon has been an excellent contributing member to this community. Many of his projects have inspired me in one way or another.

So, what happens if you are a UTI Supporter and you then become a UTI Member? Does one take precedence over the other?

frenchcalc, it appears being multilingual is a wonderful pet to have.  Other than Arabic and English, what else do you speak?

To clarify, I can only speak four languages: French, English, Arabic, and I am pretty fluent in Spanish. I don't believe I recieved this award for my multi-langual abilites, yet for some other reason that the UTI staff has decided upon. I think that all the members here contribute a lot and are very helpful, yet there are is some criterion that has to be met in order to become a UTI member. You might not have been awarded this honor solely because you did not apply to one of the staff. Smile

Short summary: I appreciate all this attention, yet it is not my multi-langual abilities that have proven to the staff that I am UTI material. I would recommend applying (by PM) to any staff member in order to be considered for recieving UTI membership Laughing

OK, OK, I get the point. I'll re-apply in a few days, I don't think setting a new record of a day for the shortest time between announcements would be very appreciated.

But please don't get offtopic to praise. Do that on IRC, PM's, or IM's.

No 1337-speak → Not geeky enough → Banned! Just Joking Razz

Absolutely brilliant, Pi Day, I dont think that you could have chosen a better day to apply. Congrats! Over here, we actually celebrate Pi Day, with PIE! Its a spectacular thing to behold, I truly love it. The teacher what introduced it to town is just slightly bizarre though... Surprised

And before anyone asks, yes, i really am that slow.

Ya sure you aren't?

The best way to convince people that you're insane is to claim otherwise. Another way is to show people that you have 14.7 posts a day on a calculator forum. Dry
