I get this error when i start level one of Contra. Any idea what's wrong?

It would happen, obviously, when a variable used by Contra is archived. The obvious things I can think of at this point are that you have Pic0 archived, and Contra is trying to use it.

Did you unarchive everything needed for Contra83 (which is everything in your memory)? The program might be recalling an archived variable (string, Pic, list, etc...)

Contra needs the programs ZNME and ZSUB unarchived, strings 0 and 9, lists 1-6, and pics 1-4 (or maybe 5), matrices C and D, and I think thats all

actually, including the cost to run the program, it takes 12-13k, which leaves about 7-8k left
