I've recently aquired a PalmOne Tungsten T, and I was very happy with it for a while. The SD card I bought for it seemed to work perfectly for a while. When, upon running some untested SD Card utility (supposedly a good one), it promptly corrupted. You could put files on it, but they'd disappear shortly after. I tried formatting it from my PC, from a digital camera, from the Palm itself, wit a special SD card utility (SDFormatter), but to no avail. I eventually stumbled upon a site (linky), which convinced me that the "Copyright Protection Mechanism" was corrupted, as that is possibly the only thing that you could destroy with software that a format wouldn't fix. I have searched for a program to repair this "Copyright Protection Mechanism", but I haven't found it yet. Anyone have experience in these matters? Could anyone help me with this?

sounds like the "Copyright Protection Mechanism"'s firmware got corrupted, I would e-mail support to see if you could get a flasher or something to reset it. If not, it's probabally broken.

I wouldn't expend too much effort on fixing it, given how cheap SD cards are (you can pick up a 2GB card for a £5 here). Smile

But expending lot of effort to fix stuff is FUN!

I could get a replacement, but I'd rather not. If I ever encounter this problem in the future, I want to know how to deal with it.
