I wasn't exactly sure where to put this, and this seemed the most relevant.

When I attempt to download Ti-Connect onto my computer (Windows XP) a warning message comes up. It says that it could create a serious error in my computer. I was wondering if this is standard and Ti-Connect is compatible with Windows XP or there really could be a problem upon downloading. Thanks!

It's standard with Windows XP. If you're downloading it from education.ti.com, then there's nothing to worry about. (Moved to Free Computer Tech Support Provided.)

It should be. If it says this program is not approved for XP or something, just click Accept or Continue. I have encountered no problems with it, and I have XP.

NTFS gained a new attribute in SP2; files downloaded from the internet (via IE, Outlook, MSN Messenger et al.) are marked as such. When you try and run an application with this attribute set, it pops up a dialog warning you about the risks of running such an application.

Is this the dialog you refer to?

Heh I just ran into this yesterday when my sister was installing it. It gave both of us a good laugh.

Yeah, when I downloaded TI-Connect on my XP, it did the same thing too, but it turned out to be a preemptive security measure XP is built with. In other words, don't worry about it Laughing
