Since speakers are microphones it should be possible to make an assembly program that converts all the input from the speaker (earphone) to data (list?program?) so you can record small songs or notes.

Ummm how could you record something on a mic, then play it back in notes? Like if I talk in to the mic, it cant play it back, cause it would sound like crud if its a bunch of beeps. The Calc probly wouldnt be fast enough to process the input as its recieved.

Hey Darth, you could use it in your Dragon Media Player. You can use it for recording the Dmp3 files.

Um the whole point of this idea (at least the way I read it) is to use a microphone to record voices/music/whatever, and have it store the signals. Therefore you shouldn't to program the individual songs. Or do you mean "hard to understand the format and create a converter"?

Exactly, if I'm not mistaking, all you need is a program that listens for input and stores it, and a program that can play the stored data as sound. The program that records the sound would just check every x cycles for input, and store whatever hex number it recieves, then the higher x would be the lower the quality and with a little tweaking it should be possible to get decent speed and quality out of it.

<unsure>You would then plug your headset into the calc and, if nescesarry, use a little hardware mod so the speaker works as a microphone (just reverse the current) and talk into the earplug thingy, or just plug in a microphone.</unsure>
