Bot Trap Suggestion

No, I'm pretty sure I can only change the address of the HTML page I get the template from. At least, I can't find any other option in the AdminCP.

Someone should PM AlienCC or Jbirk to see what they can do or a time Arcane and one of them could get together to implement and test this idea, because I'd hate to see this idea go to waste. I see that their was spam left in the topic "PM Storage Upgraded". <The battle continues>

Since we don't appear to be rid of spambots, what's everyone's opinion on the following:

We make a new member group of "people who haven't posted yet" (call it something like New Members) that everyone gets automatically moved out of after one post.
If you're in that group, you're not allowed to post in the Announcements forum.

Granted, this might suck for someone who created an account to reply to one of our announcements, but has that ever happened? Besides, they would then either post something about it elsewhere or PM a staff member who could fix it manually - problem solved.

I was recently on a forum where, upon looking in registration, there was a question that said "Are you a spam bot? o Yes o No"

Or maybe is there a way to time how long they take to enter their infos...

Like if they are a bot it will be almost instantaneous, but for a human it will take about 1 minute.
