I think that this forum should not delete old topics in the less- posted in boards because i go there and there are only two topics Surprised. There needs to be enough threads that you can accualy read of look up something that you want to know or post about.

No posts have been harmed in the making of this forum. You just have to change "From: 30 days" at the bottom of the page to "Show all" to reveal the oldschool threads.

Some of the less-posted-in categories (such as Announcements or any of the featured projects) have Show All as a default. I could change this for the other boards, but my opinion is that it's not worth it for how often you actually need to see those older topics.

That's kind of backwards...

What's the point of reading old announcements?

Many times since I've joined I've needed to look details up in the old announcments. Plus, why not keep old announcements it doesn't hurt the site and can be used a good resource.

Everything is kept... every single thread, including one of the oldest threads.

I'm not sure I understand the point of hiding old posts. There's already a maximum cutoff point (adjustable at the usercp, max 40 topics per page) that starts putting things on multiple pages, so why throw a completely uneeded layer on top of that?
