Whenever I played red or blue I would use the duplicate item cheat so I would always have many items in my pack.

Well, here they are, I made 3 to show how, just by manipulating the PRTY list, you can set up the pokemon in the order you want. Of course, that will work within the game, I just have to program that. ;)

Looks very nice, I like the speed of the arrow when you are selecting the pokemon. The hp bar looks really nice too.

I'm amazed you got all that stuff to fit. This is an awesome accomplishment in TI-BASIC!

Amazing...
All the pokemon are impaired in some way.

So if a pokemon is poisoned, you will deduct hp as you walk, right?

Thanks, Weregoose worked on my preliminary design, changing things around, I think he did an excellent job on it.

Thanks, and probably not. The game will be big enough as it is without adding things like that to it.

Heh, I thought the scrolling menu was the best of this game so far. Wink Thanks for the compliment though. :)

I hope to have the menu for this party screen done this weekend, time allowing...

That is just for show. :)

And in the final version, yes, I plan to have that. I think for the first couple playable demos, I will just have it affected in battles.

I got maps to add, a battle system to make, and make the items system fit in with this new set up, plus make the interiors of the houses, so I have still a ways to go. Razz

All map graphics will be ascii, Pokemon battles will have the sprites, as will the status screens. Pretty much everything but the map will be graphical.

These are the stat screens I made:

The red box is where the sprite goes. It's based on Pokémon Gold/Silver.

Also, Tifreak should use my party list design it's much better!

(based on Emerald)

ah, it might look a bit better, but for space and speed and other stuff, the original one is the way to go. Nice stat sheets by the way.

Those look great!!!!! I am definitely using them stat screens. :D

And leofox, it would have been far more complicated to write the cursor routine, and it looks too cramped on the right side of the screen to have that...

/me goes off to start on the stat screens...

Hrm... who would object to me using 3 letter designations for the types, instead of the full blown text? would save on space, and would be easier to output, plus, I can move some of the text around, like the types that are in the screenshot to below the hp bar, and free up some space up top.

Also, as per a request to know how large the game has already gotten, I tallied up the lists and programs... 43 programs, 4 test programs, and 11 lists, brings the amount to almost 71k. The game is probably still below 10% complete...

I wouldn't as long as the abbreviations are comprehensible.

At least BasicBuilder compresses.
[s]And I don't think abbreviations for type should be used, either.[/s]
Ok, fine. I mind. Because I'm picky. There.
