Micheal Vincent worked on that job of making an old ps2 keyboard plug into a Ti-83 plus. I've actually been planning on doing it for a while, but I can't figure out how to follow the schematic on his website (i'm not too good with them). Anyways I've got all the parts. Unfortunately, the keyboard doesn't work in the OS (i think), and the word processor he wrote is only for the silver edition 83 plus. That is why I haven't been motiviated to finish it. If any of you guys could check out the schematic, and if someone could get the word processor to work with the plain old 83 plus, I would appreciate it.

im good with schematics. can you post a link?

I can think of lots of apps that I'd like to be made.

  • An app to have functions as well as programs
  • An app to put data in appvars from basic
  • An app to store 1-byte strings so one could have all 256 symbols in Basic
  • An app to make some graphing routines like Circle( faster like on 89
  • An app to compress and run compressed programs
These could probably be combined into 1 or 2 Apps.

1. TI keyboards are expensive, and almost everyone has a PS/2 keyboard.
2. i have yet to find a ti keyboard in a store.

the schematic is relatively simple. if i can find out how the numbering goes on the plug, ill post a picture on how to hook it up.
